According to the Liverpool Echo (15 March 2018), the Bordeaux Wine Festival (Bordeaux Fete le Vin) in May 2018.

Bordeaux Fete le Vin Liverpool logoBetween 25-28 May 2018, Bordeaux’s finest export comes to Liverpool’s UNESCO World Heritage Waterfront during the Three Festival’s Tall Ships Regatta. A UK premiere; Liverpool is being embraced into the Bordeaux ‘Fete le Vin’ family alongside Brussels, Hong Kong, Quebec and Bordeaux – and will give the beautiful French city the warmest of welcomes in return.

In fact, this is set to be one of most sought-after festival tickets in town this May Bank Holiday weekend, with a special event tasting pass opening up a wonderful world of wine adventure.

The Gallic ‘fete le vin’ pays homage to all the wines from Bordeaux.

Take your specially-branded Bordeaux wine glass and carrying case and enjoy up to six tastings along with the chance to learn all about the diversity of Bordeaux wines (reds, rosés, whites, sparkling and sweet wines) – for more info see www.bwfliverpool.com/

The Liverpool event will coincide with the Three Festivals Tall Ships Regatta which moves on to Bordeaux for the Bordeaux version of Bordeaux Fete le Vin festival 14 –  18 June 2018 – see frenchduck.com/

The Three Festivals Tall Ships Regatta will link a trio of vibrant port cities – Liverpool, Dublin and Bordeaux – with some nail-biting racing across the Irish Sea and Bay of Biscay. And it all begins here over the late May Bank Holiday weekend.

We can guarantee the magnificent masted ships will create a stunning sight as they make their way up river to start the hotly-contested Regatta from Liverpool’s world-famous, UNESCO World Heritage waterfront.

This is the fifth time Liverpool has hosted these evocative historic craft in the past three decades, and during Capital of Culture year an estimated million people packed the banks of the river to catch a glimpse of the parade of sail.

Between May 25-28, the city will be transformed in to three cultural festivals – Liverpool Festival in the city centre, Irish Festival at the Albert Dock and French Festival on the Pier Head, each with their own unique atmosphere and cultural experience.

Expect spectacular performances, unique entertainment, street animation and live music, as Liverpool waterfront is transformed. www.visitliverpool.com
