PIC Wines - Languedoc Specialist

An interesting little operation is PIC Wines. Being based in the heart of the Languedoc gives the company direct access to the multitude of producers in this dynamic Southern French region.

Building long term relations with wine producers has always been the mainstay of the independent merchant; it gives access to those special wines often produced in small quantities. PIC Wines is no different; just living next to the producers has added benefits!

PIC Wines don’t actually hold stock of any wines they list. They collate orders over a month before visiting the producer and purchasing the quantities required. They then shipped to the UK and distributed. An interesting concept that might not suit all customers – those wanting immediacy and over night delivery – but good things come to those that wait, as the saying goes.

They hold regular London based tastings, informal and small, giving the opportunity to sample seasonally selected wines. You can purchase by the case or mix and match. A mixed case of six carries a £2.50 surcharge.

There were some mighty impressive wines at a recent tasting I attended (for details see Spittoon ); so good I have actually brought a mixed case.
